This is the list I used in the Thanksgiving event. I always had the frustration of not being able to play good card draw in the common-only format so once I noticed
Honor of Claws and
Strategize were legal I immediately tried to see if control was playable. And surprise, it is.
Kodosh Sees All is an amazing card in this deck, and in this format were there are no markets so it will almost surely stick. The inevitability it gives you is what you need for this deck to be good. And since it's a relic, you can run a
Parul's Choice package (hence the
Torture and
Wanted Poster).
I feel pretty confident in the numbers and choice of removals I have.
Desecrate and
Permafrost are mainstay,
Lightning Storm is really necessary and give you free wins against fire aggro, but 4 is too much if you face something like combrei I think. You want to have some fast-speed interraction (
Annihilate and
Defiance) against Scream and
Inquisitor's Blade and
Feeding Time as a catch-all has felt really good as a 2-of.
Jotun Hurler gives you card advantage with the draw spells and
Stonepowder Alchemist is surprisingly very good. He trades with a lot of things, he is a good threat you can redraw pretty fast and the lifesteal gives you so much time. Really strong card overall.
Duelist's Blade is the poor's man Runehammer but get the job's done ; the face Aegis is really nice against Flameblast.
Anyway, that's it for the deck tech, let me know in the comments if you would change something or if you enjoyed the deck. Have a great day x)
