So this is a deck I decided to brew up as I really like the idea of AP Valkyries, yet I haven't seen a decent deck that would use merchants, so I made one.
Core picks include:
Icaria, Valkyrie Captain - Why are you playing Valkyries without this? Go and get the Dead Reckoning campaign, now!
Valkyrie Enforcer - The best 3-drop in Justice AND a Valkyrie? Well, you know what to do. The silence it offers is a powerful control effect. A very solid craft for all decks that run Justice.
Amilli, Cloudmarshal - An absolute staple in all Valkyrie decks. He's also a very solid craft outside of Valkyries thanks to his strong 4/8 body.
Rolant's Intervention - Because an Aegis for 1 power on a fast spell is great and almost all of your deploys are Valkyries.
Flexible picks include:
Rooftop Vigilante - While her body is vulnerable, she has access to both flying and warcry along with a strong ability. She's a must-have if you play Unseen Commandos in my opinion.
Unseen Commando - Unseen Commando gives an amazing amount of value to the decks he's in. I included him in flexible picks primarily because his value goes down if you have fewer double keywords, although one could argue he's strong enough to be a core pick regardless of the amount of double keywords in your deck.
Valkyrie Justiciar - because a permanent Svetya that you can protect with Rolant's and buff with Icaria is good. Added as flexible because of her frail body.
Battlefield Scavenger - somewhat irrelevant body, but its ultimate and the warcry make it beneficial to the deck, allowing you to potentially recover an Amilli, Icaria or a buffed up Valkyrie from your void. Definitely useful.
Vanquisher's Blade - void hate is good and so is the vanquish that's tacked onto it. Can be replaced with the spell itself if you don't run Vigilantes or need a budget option.
Market options include:
Argenport Banner - in case of power screw.
Vanquish - When you really need that removal.
Bloodletter - initially an
Inquisitor Makto, I decided to include this instead as 9 out of 10 times Makto was just a win more card. This gives the deck some extra stability, recovery and threat all at once.
Valkyrie Enforcer - So that you have a silence on demand and can dodge
In Cold Blood if you ever face Feln Control.
Auric Runehammer - Good finisher, good damage, what's not to love?
Telut, Queen's Hand - Into Shadow introduced a fair share of new cards and Telut is one of those that you really want in AP Valks. You can take him in place of Banner or Runehammer as it's up to you. I replaced the banner in my case.
