Named for its weird blend of Minotaurs, Armory, Strangers and Onis. I'm only playing in Silver, but I've won 7 of my last 10 games with this deck. The FTS Sacrifice deck is what I lose to primarily; Kato and Strange Burglar are just too much value, and its flood of weenies can gum up the Armory segment even with the Hammer of Glory and Jadehorns. Your hope is pretty much to go under it; get the recursion going and go ham with a Hammer of Glory before the site and Induce Madness drops.
The first iteration of this deck tried to use Kaleb's Sanctum and a wider variety of Onis (Kazuo was joined by Akko, Granite Acolyte and Markmaker) alongside the Armory section to bounce weapons until lucking into something devastating, but I eventually removed them for a wider variety of Strangers (Travers Farm and Kodosh Stranger) and haven't looked back since. I will say that Varret transformed a lot more often back when I was dropping Markmakers on him on turn 3.
Win Conditions:
Sometimes a flood of minotaurs, a transformed Varret or a some other unit heavily buffed by Kodosh and Steely Strangers ekes out a win. But Jadehorns, Conspicuous Travelers and Strange Blacksmiths are the backbone of the MinotArmOny deck, to protect and buff the armory.
Charchain Flail often ends up becoming an unstoppable win condition as it bounces back and forth from the void with Strange Blacksmith and picks up stat boosts from Jadehorn and Conspicuous Traveler. Feel free to use them early and often as spot unit removal if necessary; if all goes well, you'll be getting them back a lot.
The Magebreaker isn't really a win condition; turning Displays of Destruction or Worthy Cause into firebombs helps a bit but doesn't really stem the FTS tide, you know? But I've also had games where a humble Magebreaker reached upwards of 10/11 to win me the game, so they do fine.
I haven't had much opportunity to use the Treasury Gate, but I stand by its inclusion. Sometimes all you need is a steady pipeline of 3/2 and 4/5 minotaurs, you know?
Market:
Edict of Kodosh gets a lot more use than Edict of Shavka or Breath of Voprex, but occasionally Shavka is needed to cut through a green Aegis unit.
The Ankle Cutter is there entirely in case of Elf decks.
I go back and forth between Lay Siege and Soldrain Smithy, which has seen some use in bouncing a clutch Charchain to win me the game.
Subs:
I would say that substituting Treasury Gate would be my first pick for a player on a budget. If you need to go more budget yet, Kodosh Stranger and Jawbone Greatsword are valuable for their instant value and Stranger chemistry in the former's case and the 5 attack on a weapon to bring down Naokis and Dovas in the latter but they can be worked around.
I'd fill in Charchain Flail and Jadehorn to 4 first, then consider subbing in Travers Farm, Swords of Icaria or Steely Strangers as need be. A few Kaleb's Intervention might see some budget value in removing Induce Madness, which can be the end for this deck more often than not.
