Hi, I'm back with another aggro deck!
Fend Off is a good pseudo-permafrost. It's not stunned forever, though, so you have to be careful when you use it.
Needlespitter is awesome with
Spy Glass. If you equip this weapon, it can dodge
Torch.
Signal Flare can target sites and scout. It fits the theme of the deck well. Notable things it can kill are
Oni Ronin,
Oni Samurai, and
Rakano Outlaw.
Torch is a staple in any fire deck. It's good against
Unseen Commando,
Hojan, Crownbreaker, and
Valkyrie Enforcer, etc.etc.
Ankle Cutter, with the three damage dealing spells, (Torch, Signal Flare, and Ice Bolt) is good against
Sandstorm Titan,
Xulta Loyalist, and
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker for example.
Blurreechaser is nice. If it sticks, you can scout twice making it a 3/1 and buffing up
Needlespitter,
Clodagh, Loyal Advisor, and
Peaktop Trekker, even if you're stuck at 2 power.
Camp Surveyor
Ice Bolt gets rid of
Heart of the Vault,
Xo of the Endless Hoard, and
Sediti, the Killing Steel. Though the opponent gets to ramp up, it's great to get rid of such threats because they are so big.
Scale Seeker is nice for the dragon it can potentially give us.
Camp Surveyor is nice because it can be played on turn 1. I do not include
Farplace Finder because it doesn't have 4 health and can be killed through
Vara's Favor. While you can attack with Finder after 1 turn, it really doesn't do much in the late game because it only has 1 health.
Howling Peak Smuggler makes your signal flares fast torches, makes torches mortars, and makes ice bolts bigger.
Peaktop Trekker is the other scout payoff card besides
Needlespitter and
Clodagh, Loyal Advisor. If it isn't torched or vanquished immediately it can be insane.
The powerbase should definitely include
Crest of Fury so that you can scout. Other than that, it's really up to you. I do recommend all the dual powers though.
Market choices:
Bore was nerfed, but I'd like to include it anyway. If you feel like it is too slow or expensive,
Ruin and
Melt Down are also nice.
Permafrost is in the market because we already have
Fend Off and
Ice Bolt.
Urn of Choking Embers is a good card against other aggro decks. I personally think that in aggro markets, this card should at least be considered.
Torrential Downpour gets rid of grenadin (sadly) and rats (lol) and does allow you to scout. Please keep in mind that
Howling Peak Smuggler does increase the damage of this card by 1. If you feel like this doesn't really do much, you could replace this with
Crystallize.
As for
Aerial Battle, we only have 1 card that can generate a flier albeit very slowly:
Scale Seeker. Thus, when the opponent plays valkyries, you could potentially get rid of
Sediti, the Killing Steel if you have a smuggler out.
--Cards not put in:
Pummel does fit the theme really well, but if
Needlespitter has 0 strength then
Pummel cannot be played on it sadly.
Fearless Yeti has to hit the enemy player first to have all 3 scout payoff cards (Spitter, Clodagh, and Trekker) to activate. Though it does have some synergy with this deck, I decided to include Ankle Cutter instead.
Brenn's Scrying isn't a card in this deck. If you want to play a spell you generally want to deal damage or interact with the opponent's units, scout, or both.
Explanation of this deck's name:
Scout represents what the deck is about.
3 is the maximum power cost.
"f2p" means how much of each influence this deck costs. This deck only requires 1 fire and 2 primal influence.
