This is the list I used to hit masters this month. With the new patch we saw a buff to Vara’s Choice and a change to beckoning lumen, and I wanted to try out both.
Lumen took the place of what would normally be the de facto 4-drop in a time deck, SST. And I have to say I never missed having SST. Scribe, Favor, and Ayan were already cards you wanted to play as 4 in your list to smooth draws or have a powerful card that is effective both early and late game, so you didn’t have to stretch too hard to get lumen to proc consistently. I added extract and Slug as additional ways to get the card draw that weren’t embarrassing to play. Slug also pulling double duty since we don’t have SST to protect us from the air.
Quick Tidbit, if you're gaining life in a turn and plan on playing Lumen, try to play Lumen as the last thing you do, it doesn't have to be in play during the lifegain to trigger the EoT effect as long as it is in play EoT, and if you play it as the last thing you do your opponent cannot kill it before you draw a card.
Vara's Favor is one of the best cards in the deck. Unless you are missing a key power drop it's almost never correct to aim it at your opponent on an empty field. It triggers Lumen, kills X/1s, and acts as a deathstrike in the very late game in conjunction with Last Word.
