The deck's purpose is to put killer on deadly units, then use them along with recursion to control the board.
Excavate and Dark Return are your spell-based recursion. Pretty straight forward. I did not use Last Chance here because it's better if it's the spell that gets voidbound, not the unit.
Xenan Initiation and Predator's Instinct are obvious. Annihilate is good for clearing the path for your Memory Dredgers.
The Lifespeaker is there as both an offensive unit(recurring it resets the ultimate - it can grow by +3/+3 each time it is recurred) and stability. Giving your units and killers lifesteal is great for staying in the game.
Ripknife Assassin is a cheap deadly unit, but it's warcry is actually pretty useful considering it triggers from killer attacks too.
Temple Scribes are card draw and health. Don't underestimate using them as killer units either. They might not be deadly, but they have very good value for picking off smaller units and recurring into card draw.
The pathlighters are cheap deadly units, reason enough to use them. However, their tribute effect is interesting in this deck. By using one to kill a unit then recur it, it can trigger its own tribute. Plus, playing a turn one or two pathlighter can deceive your opponent into thinking you'll be playing radiant tribal.
Memory Dredgers are your primary source of recursion, since most of your units are cheap enough for it's ability to work.
The Thief's Picks are meant to aid the Memory Dredgers in getting through blockers, however they work fine just to push damage with other units too - an unblockable Vara wins games.
Vara is there for pure value. A deadly lifesteal unit that grows with recursion is invaluable and exactly in theme with the deck.
Azindel in your market is really just icing. It's your win more card. Moondial is good for regular extra draws.
Lumen Reclaimer is ultimate recursion - get back everything except your excavates. Also, put killer on it. It's funny to keep stacking your deck with more and more 4/4 killers.
