This is a gauntlet deck that I developed to take advantage of the lack of really strong aggro decks. Most of the aggro decks in gauntlet are go-wide which Copperhall Bailiff answers nicely. This deck would not work on Ranked Ladder because it has so much depleted power. For gauntlet, this is not an issue, and the greedy power base lets us pack a serious mid-late game punch.
Tavrod is even more busted in gauntlet than in Ranked because the AI typically doesn't run that much removal. They will often Vanquish an Auric Interrogator too, so even more chance for Tavrod to live to attack.
I added Jekk, the Bounty Hunter because I wanted a strong tempo play to follow up after Tavrod that would really destabilize the AI, which likes to run a lot of high cost units, or various Revenge cards. For example, AI plays Makto, we play Tavrod. Turn 6 AI plays another Makto and passes looking to double block if I attack. I play Jekk silence and stunning one, then get to attack with Tavrod, and then follow up with removal the next turn, and I'm attacking with 11 points of damage and getting Tavrod draw value. Card has been great!
Results so far:
5 Win
6 Win (loss to Mindless Aggression boss)
7 win (beat Power of Progress boss)
Have fun, hope you enjoy!
Missing two Maidens, going to sub in two Stewards.
Update: Ended up going 7-0 easily. However, the AI didn't get any nut draws and all opponents were pretty easily handled.
