Information

It took an old but out of fashion classic to break the D1-D2 rut and climb to Masters in Season 14.

I honestly don't know why Big Combrei has fallen out of favour lately. I haven't played much Big Combrei since starting Eternal. I didn't think it was it fun, it wasn't "my style." But right now Big Combrei is the only deck -- including various alleged top tier lists -- that is performing consistently for me. Darude and friends can stop aggro cold and none of the other de rigueur greed piles can beat them for pure value and threat density.

If I were to hazard a guess as to why the Eternal fashionistas have abandoned Big Combrei, I'd say it's because their lists were simply too greedy. 2x Worldbearer is plenty; Combrei Healers are obligatory. Etc. Etc. That and -- I have to admit -- the deck does not sport a spectacular win rate or thoroughly dominate any opponent. Nor are its games fast like, say, Argenport Midrange. However, it's consistent. It's competitive against most archetypes. And that matters - a lot.

wushambudo Eternal Version: 1.27
why are you playing disjunction over decay
wushambudo Eternal Version: 1.27
second question why are you playing disjunction at all
WanYao Edited Eternal Version: 1.27
1) Because Decay is a bad card.
2) It's called a tech card. The meta is packed full of decks which abuse weapons and relics and in that kind of meta not running some sort of attachment hate is suicidal -- especially for a slower deck like this. Of course, you don't have to run tech cards if you don't like. A lot lists don't. But imnsho that's part of that "simply too greedy" thing I was mentioning.

However, Disjunction is a flex slot and can be subbed out depending on the meta. For example, I'm currently running a couple Wasps in their place. Now, you could throw some more 6 drops or something in there, a lot of people like to do stuff like that... But I have a hunch that'd probably be *cough*cough* simply too greedy
