Information

Probably just worse than traditional combrei aggro, but it sure is sweet!

The entire deck revolves around getting a Shard of the Spire in play. Once you do that, Copperhall Shieldman is a 7/7 for 3, Miner's Canary is a 4/4 flying for 2, and Dune Phantom is a 6/6 ambush flying for 3. Momentum Builder is a behemoth 10/10 for 4, although it does have reckless.

For this reason, you basically never want to keep a hand without a Shard of the Spire or a Winchest Merchant to get it. Also, try to avoid playing your fattest units until after playing shard for obvious reasons.

Card Choices:
- Initiate of the Sands: Playing one of our many 3-drops on turn 2 is really good, and ramping to shard is also really good.
- Journey Guide: making all your units cheaper so you can play your entire hand after playing spire is really useful. Also, these are 3/3s with a spire in play.
- Disjunction: you really can't win without spire in play, and these can always be pitched to one of our many merchants if it isn't necessary.
- Awakened Student: Doesn't combo with spire, but there really aren't many other 2-drops to choose from.
- Miner's Canary: 4/4 flier for 2 is pretty great. Also block most 2-3 drop fliers.
- Vanquish: Good removal.
- Auralian Merchant: Not amazing in this deck, but useful to pitch/grab disjunctions. Also gets stand together. Not playing 4 copies because we're already way too heavy on the 3-drops.
- Copperhall Shieldman: One of your 4 main payoff cards, decks like praxis are going to have a lot of trouble beating 3-cost 7/7s.
- Dune Phantom: With shard out, this is a 6/6 flying ambush. That kills sandstorm titan, rizhan, BSH, and best of all... Icaria.
- Stand Together: Busted card, only way you have to beat harsh rule.
- Winchest Merchant: Gets your shard of the spire. Can also get stand together.
- Momentum Builder: If you thought praxis would have trouble with a 7/7, just imagine how hard a 10/10 is going to be for them to deal with. Reckless kind of sucks, but even against aggro this thing is a 2-turn clock on its own.
- Waystone Infuser: We really need card advantage, and a 6/6 is pretty beefy.

Powerbase:
Pretty basic powerbase, we aren't playing seek power because our influence requirements are so easy to get that I'd rather have more undepleted power. 27 sources might seem low, but remember to count Initiate of the Sands and Journey Guide.

Market:
- Disjunction: Pretty self-explanatory. Kills annoying relics like gift, runehammer, or chalice, and gets back our shard if it gets destroyed.
- Scorpion Wasp: Pretty much the best removal time has access to. Not stellar, but can be a blowout against cards like carnosaur and especially icaria. Try to bait out torches and annihilates beforehand.
- Stand Together: We sort of have 10 copies of this in our deck since both merchants can fetch it. Even without shard, this can help pump our walls into decent attackers. Pretty much the only way we're beating a harsh rule.
- Shard of the Spire: I don't need to explain this one, do I?
- Xenan Obelisk: In a pinch, you can always just forgo shard and go all-in on obelisk instead. Not a great plan B, but at least we have one.

I'm not going to recommend this deck as a tier-1 deck, but it does have game to it. If the metagame is all time midrange, this deck can go over-the-top pretty well. Our biggest weakness is harsh rule decks, since wrath is already a beating and those decks are the most likely to be playing relic-removal.

Agkistro Eternal Version: 1.36
This deck looks pretty sweet; I think I'll try it out once I scrounge up enough shiftstone to get all my merchants.
Have you considered Desert Marshall over Awakened Student? I haven't played in a while, so idk if Marshall is just bad in the current meta, but I used to play him a lot in my jank decks.

I'm trying to go for more of an aggro build here, and student gives the deck a plan B of Awakened Student + Stand Together. Marshall has definitely gotten worse too.
