Is Obelisk better than Crimson Firemaw? I ask because I play a similar list and Firemaw has been brutal vs most decks. They either remove and have nothing for the rest of my team, or they don't remove and I'm just playing cheap or free cards.
And would Power Stone be better than initiate of the sands? We're not in a hurry to get to 3 (I think) and it's harder to remove.
So far my games and testing have shown her to be a good roleplayer in praxis. You are desperate for decent 2-3 drops and raider seems like she makes the cut. To maximize her you need to be good about knowning when to suicide her for a card and when to hold her back. If your opponent removes her that is great for you because t4 is titan and t5 is bearer.
It's so strange that you run just 1 Obliterate instead of completing the full set of Xenan Obelisks. It's hard for me to see how the lack of consistency would be beneficial for the deck.
This isant an obelisk deck...... you have 16 intotal guys to be played before which were happy if 2 guys are down before turn 4... obelisk doesnt make our little guys win conditions it just makes them more "annoying". Then it pushes our big guys over the top of basically every other big guy.. obelisk is great card so this is a fair question. oblit does 6 damage which if youve played praxis you know face damage will steal a lot of games. Oblit is an answer to guys that get over 3 toughness, relic weapons you cant attack and kill( which is few and far between but a thing) it can even force through more damage then an obelisk can. Were not a go wide deck so on an average that obelisk outs a +3 to +6 and oblit is at 6 damage. Obelisk is the 1 card praxis has as a trump card for time mirriors so you do need them. But 1 obelisk is more then enough almost always. You never want 2 obelisk within your first like 12 cards of a game unless youre opp has done nothing in which case you just win with any card.. wanting to have 2 obelisk out really only comes up if youre playing against another obelisk deck and in that case an oblit gets really scary cause they cant allow themselves to fall to 6 life even 9 just because you do have the burn to kill them.. the oblit is kind of the role that a 1 of flameblast would serve. Except flameblast is kinda bad now. But it will Steal a game or kill something that our torch/purify cant and gain you tempo back. The 4th obelisk could be in the board since we have like drones there so we can kind of go a token rout vs some decks but you def dont need all 4 main and you will have far more games of obelisk being a 4 drop relic that has no impact on the game state cause youre not trying to flood the board..
This deck was a collaboration with my good friend SooNo who had the original idea to play the new Reliquary Raider in Praxis. Shout-out to him for coming up with a deck that could finally carry me past top 8--an impressive feat if there ever was one. .
Honest thats how this list even came about. I was masters morning of day 2 from the very rough version before this which had no seek (greed is always good) i posted it for the whole team then bruisedbygod and i had went from there. So if a worse version can do it this forsure can haha
