Hi guys,
last month i made it to masters with my
Argenport Denial deck and this time i tried a bit of experimenting with my favourite tribe: Oni.
Opponents usually think that this is just another Rakano deck, but it hides a lot of surprises. The units seem puny and weak, but there's a lot of ways to surpass the enemy, either by flying (with Elder's Feather) or Finest Hour + Trick Shot combo (nobody expects Trick Shot to be honest).
Bladekin Apprentice is insane if you let it grow, and most of the opponent don't want to spend resources to deal with it. Frontier Bard is also on the cards that keeps on growing with great statline that makes is impervious to torch and hailstorm while giving overwhel to your drawn units. As you can see, there's not many units and most of them are weak (with snowballing potential) but that's where Kyojun, Grand Shugo enters. Givin every oni +2/+2 is amazing and you can always create more with Shogun's Scepter, and Shogun of the Wastes is not neccessary to have, when i had the luck to draw him, he served well, otherwise, he wasn't missed, you can put another Elder's Feather instead of him. Ornate Katana is here for buffing for use with Trick Shot and some card draw, which is not too neccessary.
Have fun!
There's no decks i had some special problems with, i usually saved Vanquish for some really big game-turning threats
