Any recommendations for changes after the 10/21 nerf fest? I've swapped in Iceberg Frontrunner (kind of underwhelming, but plays well with Wump and Thudrock) for Snowcrust and left in the Champions and it's workable so far. Any better ideas? Maybe Powderglider instead of Iceberg?
After trying various 1 drops I'm confident that Iceberg Frontrunner is the best replacement for Snowcrust Yeti and I think this is still the best aggro list in throne right now.
I tried iceberg frontrunner and he seems to be very underhwelming. a 1/2 simply is not suited for an aggro deck. currently I'm testing out oni ronin and oni patrol as 1 drops. I know that they have no yeti synergy but they are much better than frontrunner.
champion of fury dies to snowball and varas favor now. I loved playing this deck and I'm kinda sad it got ruined. I will give this deck another go with ur suggested changes but I think noone can deny that it got hit pretty hard and is a lot weaker than before.
Love me some yetis. Sometimes it feels bad needing to bond Pokpok, Rockpacker with Champion of Fury, but as far as turn two plays go it's not the worst thing that can happen.
I would expect a deck to work even better against worse players and less optimized decks. Aggressive decks are really good at punishing less optimal decks.
This is true. What do you do when you dump your hand and the opponent hailstorms or you otherwise are on top deck? I just notice this has no way to get you more cards/recursion.
I know it's aggro, so this may just be what you try to mulligan against, just wondering how crippling that scenario has been.
When you expect Hailstorm out of your opponent's deck that means they are likely to play no real early game units themselves, so you can take it slowly and use cards like Pok Pok and Snowcrust Yeti to not overextend into it. The new primal emblem helps with that too. Once you got a Smuggler for Swift Refusal you can go wider and leave one power open to counter the Haisltorm.
Thoughts on the shifting scout Yeti for this deck? Would be safe for 3 turns until you can get a Wump or Masterwork down, then unblockable for some nice damage and enough turn to dodge some removal
You play your early units, the best hands have a 3 attack yeti and pokpok. Then you try to keep the pressure up by playing your masterworks and wunps to make the yetis bigger. Most of the time you finish the game with snowballs or burn from the market. Against decks that play harsh rule or hailstorm you want to grab the refusal from the market.
