So, with the Rat King buff, I just *had to* try out an oldie but goodie--Stonescar aggro queen!
I'm not really sure there's too much to write about as far as individual card inclusion--it's a bandit queen deck, so
Grenadin Drone is obviously in, and beyond that,
Oni Ronin is standard fare,
Autotread is Autotread, and
Battlefront Dasher takes the place of Oni Patrol, being a flexible card that you can drop on turn 1 as a 2/1 (or even a 3/2 if you have no 2-drop in hand), and anytime else.
Removal suite I also think is pretty standard. Torch and open contract felt like they weren't quite enough, so suffocates had to come in.
The 2-drops are basically
League Explorer and a pair of
Skullbreakers to round the slot out, but a pair of 1-drops, or another 1-drop + removal is just fine for your turn 2 play.
3-drops seem pretty self-explanatory. 4 Chacha because Chacha, and then some market access and Rat King for the
Bandit Queen synergy.
Lurking Sanguars really give this deck an extra kick of speed.
Boxer really hated condemn as market access and told me to go Ixtun merchant, so I went with the usual couple of removals and a couple of threats. It might want a melt down just to hit permafrost though, or possibly a
Fire Conjuring.
Other things that others may tune is the power base. If someone wants to try some tomes in order to cut all the sigils, the sigils can be replaced with fire waystone and shadow emblems. But missing your early turns in aggro is *bad*, so...yeah.
In any case, is this the best, most OPOP deck ever? Probably not. But if people think "nah, we don't need to respect fire aggro anymore", well, this deck can give them a quick wakeup call and prevent the meta from devolving into greedpiles.
In any case, the oldest vroom vroom is back. Have fun ^_^
