I definitely need to do more testing with this, but I think I got something really special, I took the idea of the old gauntlet grinder (https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/d/O8e2V_2wPvU/the-budget-gauntlet-grinder) and updated it with
Evenhanded Golem, and from the few runs I've tested it's incredibly consistent. I've ran 4 runs, and went 7-0 three times and a 6-0, the boss loss was to Sudden Death, and I'm pretty sure I could have won if I wasn't a dummy, right as I stabilized I thought it would be a good idea to
Vanquish an
Umbren Reaper before I silenced it, total dumb dumb moment.
Anyways, how you play the deck really depends on the opponent but the main bread and butter strategy I go with is use my smaller tempo units to stall the board state while I wait to draw into
Karmic Guardian,
Paladin Oathbook, and
Protect. From there its smooth sailing as I hit face with an ever growing monster, while using abundant silences and removal to protect her. With how the AI works they will never use a premium removal spell on a unit with aegis, and usually by the mid game you have a few single or double buffed minions so they usually go for them.
I plan on testing the deck with
Twinfang Cobra in lieu of
Venom Rider to make it even more budget friendly, if you guys have any suggestions please let me know, thanks.
