Hello everyone
I would like to present you my take on a gauntlet grinder deck with which I've had quite impressive results so far (eight 7-0 runs and on my ninth attempt I got color and manascrewed against an aggro deck).
The plunder mechanic really helps you get consistent draws and you eventually will outvalue the AI.
Thanks to
Ayan, the Abductor you can hold your ground against any aggro. Often enough he is worth 2 cards while gaining 3-6 life.
Spiritweaver also is tremendous in stabilising lategame when you have one of your 5+ attack threats on the battlefield.
Blistersting Wasp is just too good vs AI in the Gauntlet and it helps you reach lategame - just don't play too many of them at once against justice decks with
Copperhall Bailiff.
Don't be afraid to plunder your removal or lategame wincon as you really want to hit all your power drops turns 1-6.
Lategame is very easy with this deck, you just can't lose it thanks to
Icaria, First Reaper and
Tasbu, the Forbidden.
I decided to include one
Grodov's Stranger instead of the 4th Tasbu as he helps close out games faster. This deck doesn't win fast but it wins rather consistently and it is fun for me to play.
Market is pretty straightforward.
New Vara is amazing, old Vara is great against Aegis decks and when you need to stabilize.
I used to have
Eremot's Designs in the market but I never marketed for it as you have enough tools to fend off aggro, including nuts Stranger draws. So I included
Last Chance but I can't say that it was too relevant in my runs. This spot is flexible so suggestions are welcomed.
I've never been a great mana base builder so this one might need some work but besides one manascrew game it has been very consistent thanks to plunder. Cylix is a great new addition as it fixes colors and also provides fodder for market or plunder (keep in mind that
Treasure Trove has 50% chance of producing each color sigil.
This deck is expensive to make but in my opinion if you have the majority of legendaries and all campaigns then it will be worth your investment.
If you've tried the deck I would appreciate your feedback.
Thanks if you've manage to read it all through.
