My take on an
At Any Cost based control deck, with additional justice removal options thrown in. This is not an easy deck to play for sure, but it can be fun once you get the hang of it. Basic game plan is to kill anything that the opponent tries to play, draw deep into your deck, and win with
At Any Cost once you have 12+ shadow influence.
Notes on some of the card choices:
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker - started in market, but moved to main deck due to the amount of aegis units I was running into. If you're not having aegis issues, running Icaria main deck is probably better.
Just Desserts - against shadow decks, try to save these to use against Menace if possible.
Battle at the Gates - this is fantastic against combo decks. Against most other decks though, don't be afraid to use this against single targets if that's the only option. I think overall this beats running Blightmoths.
Wasteland Broker - often times the first card I grab out of market. This can then be used to add either a second win condition in Channel or Menace, or add more control with TTS or Icaria.
Prodigious Sorcery - be sure to decimate to give At Any Cost double damage. Transpose and Hailstorm are also popular targets.
Forbidden Research - most times should increase shadow influence, but in a pinch can give you the justice influence you need for Harsh Rule.
Notes on matchups:
Yetis - this is the toughest matchup. Cheap aegis yetis are really costly to remove. Key cards: Vara, AAC, Defiance, Hailstorm, Battle at the Gates.
Spell based control - Brokered Menaces are really good here. A lot of patience is required.
Relic based control - not many of these running around, so I have no relic removal here. That said, the few that I did run into weren't an issue for this deck.
Sling - I actually haven't seen one in throne in a few days, but this deck was originally built to take on sling decks. You have no units for sling to target, and you have plenty of removal for their units.
