UPDATE: Where set 2 really brought
Shepherd's Horn to life, set 3 has done absolutely nothing. This deck is probably no where near as viable as it used to be (and it wasn't ever really much more than a surprisingly even meme deck, anyway). The only significant change I've made for set 3 is to drop
Beckoning Lumen and add
Scourstone Sentinel to help go over the top of truly big butt on the enemy board. In case it wasn't obvious, you drop it with a
Sandstorm Titan in play.
Rule of Thumb:
ANY opening hand without
Shepherd's Horn is usually a mulligan. That's why it's a meme deck, guys.
ANY hand with it, you keep. You want as many of this card in play ASAP.
The idea is dead simple:
Shepherd's Horns in to
Flamestokers with
Dawnwalker recursion all throughout comboing health gain on your
Cult Aspirants. Don't worry
too much about your health while you wait for a stoker. It's not uncommon to end up with 2 horns and a stoker by turn 6 or 7 at which point you'll be gaining at least 6 health every turn guaranteed. Just remember that this is not an aggro deck -- don't drop your aspirants and
Pyroknights just because they're cheap when you could get a lot more value holding them back for a big combo drop. (Oh, and don't forget that
Purify can be used to keep an
Infernus on the board in a pinch.)
Thank you again, kind sir! :)
