Hey so this is my updated take on combrei Aggro after the Teacher Nerf, and scout nerf. used this to climb from d2 to masters in 2 days.
Some essential cards that should not be taken out:
Stand together- this one is fairly obvious, its the center piece of the deck and makes it the best aggro deck against control, a lot of time just slamming this in response to harsh rule will just win you the game
Intrepid long horn- this is just a 2 mana 3/3, and you cant ask for much more with blazing salvos running about
Auric record keeper- a similar reasoning as the long horn, just good stats for its cost.
Winchest merchant- a 2/2 flyer for three that can fetch us an answer or win-con, seems aight
Cykalis, the burning sand - this guy is an absolute behemoth, slamming him down just feels so good either on four or right after a harsh rule where you didn't have stand together, he just keeps the pressure on.
Valkyrie enforcer- this dude is to help against pesky baby varas (which are this decks worst nightmare) and just some over the head evasion and damage
Aamri's choice/ finest hour- combat tricks are this decks form of removal most of the time and are vital in either keeping a bord or pushing damage
Awakened Student- if there is any card i would say is on the line of being needed and being a flex its this one, sometimes it feels so clunky because if you play it turn two it just dies to salvo. at the same time it can just get out of control if not dealt with.
Cards that are definable flexes and can be changed.
Seneschal of light- this is a new card but man it feels like good one drop. with the scout Nerf i was trying to find a good replacement because again, dying to salvo feel bad. at least with seneschal they have to wait until there turn to make that choice and with just one spell on your turn its a 3/4 for. but i totally see the appeal of other one drops like scout or embargo officer. again i faced countless control decks on ladder and this was good
Hojan, the crownbreaker- if any card is to be replaced in this list, in my opinion, this is it. it dies to snowball which is insanely bad against feln control and yetis. the reason its in here is because you can get a burst hit with finest hour sometimes and life steal can be crucial to the aggro match ups.
Resolute monk- this card performed extremely well for me, the fact it can push 5 damage early with overwhelm helps against other aggro matchups where they are trying to race you. that being said it is not good against yetis or feln just as hojan so if you run into a lot of this consider replacing this for something like teacher or crown watch.
Hammer of unity - this card is definitely a flex, being able to push early damage through aggro and mid range is great, i have it because the decks biggest struggle was stonescar.
