A quick brew I've been toying around with to test some cards in the new set.
Update: been climbing in Masters with this, going from ~90 to ~34.
Azindel, Mastermind is a sweet card - 4/4 lifesteal is a respectable statline, and if you get his ultimate off he can represent a ton of value... and if you can reset Azindel with
Rune of Relocation, that represents even more sweet, sweet vaaaaalue.
Waystone Core is one of my other favorite cards from the set. It represents five cards over five turns, which is a lot of draw power. It does take a while to get going, but extra maximum power in the meantime is certainly appreciated. This deck doesn't really take advantage of it being fast - most of its spells and units are slow, so keeping power open isn't quite as relevant. Still, seems worth brewing around.
Sinister Rumors recycles Azindel (and other units), while also providing a bit of interaction and disruption.
Repel Darkness is a little niche, but it felt like the deck wanted another few pieces of power. You really want to hit five power. Protecting a unit from removal or negating a
Davia, Azurebreaker spell can also be relevant in the lategame. (update: swapped to
Conspire - fetching
Rune of Relocation to reset Azindel is sweet, as is having actual ramp)
