The deck's primary objective is to use nightfall and early damage to set the opponent up for maul. If maul looks like it won't work, then Rindra, Vara, and Harbinger are often enough to close out the game.
Other notes:
Shakedown seems contrary to maul, but early hand interaction greatly improves the aggro match-up.
3 of so much removal seems strange, but after extensive play on ladder, this removal suite works best.
