This deck creates card advantage by trading parts of cards (Revenge units, Summon effects, unit abilities, created units, etc) for whole cards from the opponent, and wins by attacking with units backed by the damage from Xenan Heirloom and Illicit Exchange. The modal cards are flexible but need to be played well because the deck doesn't draw many extra cards. As an example, the third mode of Sinister Rumors is almost always the worst way to play the card because killing an early unit or redrawing another card like Vikrum, Azindel, or Rat King is better.
