Information

A classic Feln control list, updated for the new additions to Expedition. This list makes use of two big additions: Blight Pass Smuggler and Azindel's Gift. The gameplan is pretty much the same as my previous list, Stompy Feln Control. The smuggler allows us to diversify our market more than Transpose did, but we are playing a little riskier without sources of aegis. So far in my testing, that hasn't been very relevant (and if it is, Cobalt Waystone can substitute).

Units:

Blightmoth - Good against aggro and big shadow decks.
Blight Pass Smuggler, Wasteland Broker - Market access. Use Smuggler to grab your finishers.
Champion of Cunning - Reliably toggles both options in most games. Our main-deck finisher.
Helio, the Skywinder - Even post-nerf, Helio is pretty good. I like her better in mono-Primal decks, but drawing 3 on a 2/2 flying body for 6 mana isn't bad.

Control:

Permafrost - Use wisely.
Annihilate - Takes care of many expedition-legal threats. This is our go-to late-game removal.
Defile - Eliminates cheap threats. Mostly here for Milos, Rebel Bomber, Prism Golem and Marionette, which are all seeing heavy play in various decks.
Ice Bolt - This is our silver-bullet removal. Most threats in expedition aren't worth ramping your opponent.
Lightning Storm - Excellent against go-wide strategies.
Wisdom of the Elders - Necessary.
Forbidden Research - For when you're desperate to find answers.
Turn to Seed - Egregiously overlooked in the initial post. Synergizes well with Lightning Storm.

Market:

Plasma Primordial - Makes a 3/1 killer every turn, and punishes control heavily. I love this card.
Rain of Frogs - Versatile and harsh. It's not necessary to pull this off of the Broker.
Silverblade Menace - Extra oomph against the mirror.
Azindel's Gift - If you can stick this curse, you pretty much have the game locked down. Ridiculous against a control mirror.
Channel the Tempest - With the amount of card draw available in this deck, this card is a sleeper.

Thanks!

Someone beat me with my own deck today. Had a pretty good chat with the person afterwards. I'm glad other folks feel the same way I do about Azindel's Gift.

Thanks for playing, folks!

QuinZ Eternal Version: 20.08.10
The big problem with this deck is it doesn't really have an answer to a resolved Backbreaker or Worldpyre. Backbreaker decks make up something like 50% of the meta at the time of writing this.

The market handles Backbreaker pretty well, actually. Plasma Primordial and Silverblade Menace both serve as utility; one is out of the weapon's reach, creates killer units and dispenses of spells like Turn Back Time, the other gives us reach enough to break the weapon.

The problem is the second Backbreaker.
