Why no Eilyn's Intervention? It counters Slay, Hailstorm and Devastating Setback. It also pulls Valk Enforcers and Unseen Commandos out of the sky. Finally it buffs the HP of Champ and Snowcrust (more value with lists that run Fearless Yeti)

The deck is already pretty good against Hailstorm with the number of aegis threats. Also, for an aggro deck like this, if you're keeping one power unused each turn you're already behind. Maybe in the sideboard?

Hello! Waffles and you both have good points. This deck is one of the better “all in” aggro decks vs hailstorm and since I was running lower amounts of yeti, I choose different, more versatile counterspells In the board. Additionally, permafrost deals with everything that I would care to kill with intervention. My flamestoker plan took up 6 slots out of the board (3 seek power) so there wasn’t as much room as normal in the board. I would have been on the intervention plan if I didn’t try out the flamestoker transformational board
