I didn't know what to call this deck because it doesn't fit neatly into any of the archetypes I've seen thus far and I want to toot my own horn a little here, it's a completely original concept I came up with on my own (insofar as tribal decks can be original concepts). This is the first time I'm posting a deck because I don't think a deck is worth sharing unless it makes Master or is especially fun(and this is both)... so here it is, my first Master-level homebrew. It took me from Gold 2 all the way to Master all on its own.
Now that I've proven this deck is top-tier I want to share it and teach y'all how to use it so here's a bit of a guide:
At first glance this deck seems like it's weak against aggro and against midrange but that's actually the beauty of the concept... it's above average against both- only coming in really weak against decks that are more spell/relic weapon-based than unit-based. Your goal against aggro is to shut it down by throwing every single bit of removal you have against everything as it comes up and developing board control whereas against midrange your goal is similar- to keep them off of the board- but to focus more on developing yours first. Simply put- you're control against aggro and aggro against midrange. This deck relies heavily on tempo in its weak matchups but can actually come back from getting beaten by a slower deck as long as that deck is unit-based.
I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions after you've tried it, but please do actually try it first. It plays a lot better than it looks.
Quick note on
Unseal: DO NOT REMOVE THIS CARD FROM THIS DECK- YOU WILL LOSE.
Maybe it's just bad luck but I feel like I'm always playing on the backfoot, and I feel like giving opponents nightfall when you're behind on cards, boardstate, and life total pretty much guarantees a loss.
This deck doesn't really run on common sense and I think it's hard to communicate the optimal play in any given turn for it since it's not really constructed with the kind of balance that you would normally expect. The deck worked really well for me and I think it's still a great deck depending on the meta but I played it recently and I realized that it's just too different from everything else. I got my ass kicked against weak starts from other players and annihilated people who had full engines running. It was pretty frustrating and I quit playing with it even with a positive win rate because it was stressful to operate.
