Following the nerf to
Protect, my win rate in gauntlet with Hooru wasn't where it needed to be, so I built this deck with a Time splash for some key cards, and it is performing admirably (close to six win average over fifteen runs at Masters gauntlet, with seven boss wins).
Accelerated Evolution: Two copies allows us to beat Permafrost and punish aggro with Flying, Endurance, Lifesteal threats that they often can't answer, or bring a ground unit to the air (and Unseen Commando buffs).
Equivocate: Two copies of this versatile spell that can blow out double blocks, stop a pesky killer unit, or remove a high value target like Makto.
Stand Together: For one cost more than Protect, you get +1/+1 and aegis to all your units. If you have multiple Shelterwing Riders that have lost aegis, you will see how this card greatly out performs Protect. Two copies is enough.
Desert Marshal: Three copies of an efficient Silence that can also intercept Killer and relic weapons, this card helps shore up one of Hooru's weaknesses in gauntlet, and adds to the consistency of the deck.
A notable exclusion is
Valkyrie Enforcer. Since we already have Marshal for silence, the effect is slightly redundant, but the major reason is we need
Common Cause to be active as high a percentage of the time to make the splash work with minimal time sources in the deck.
Spirit Guide has the advantage of being an unseen, and the lifesteal is relevant against a number of AI decks.
The rest of the deck is probably mostly standard Hooru unseen and removal, but I'll answer any questions you may have. Good luck, I hope this deck works for you, it's the first deck that I've played since Dead Reckoning that actually feels really consistent in gauntlet.
How well this deck is doing so far in the master gaunt ?
