this deck crushes against 1-drop aggro strategies and less assertive control, but i'm struggling against assertive midrange with a big top end (which is weird because usually control can go over the top of midrange)
what's your plan vs argenport paladins trying to ramp into big svetya on turn 6? it feels to me like you basically need to kill everything the turn they play it, because if they can onslaught a reclaim or get ramp off hojan or baby icaria, they ramp out ahead of you and you get stuck 2-for-1ing yourself on big aegis threats instead of taking control with big icaria.
i'm not sure what the solution is -- a faster powerbase with more seats/sigils and fewer crests? even more early interaction, like maybe ice bolt, over some 3-5 drops? or is it piloting error and the matchup is actually fine?
I didn't play enough of this deck to have answers for you. I kind of realized again that I'm not really a control player, so I can't really help solve those issues. What I CAN say, though, is that lots of Aegis does basically just win against removal-oriented control decks. I played less than 10 games with this list, and then moved on to a different deck. Side note: The Garden has Ice Bolt attached, so that's why I didn't put Ice Bolts in the deck.
