Hooru Aggro with a pinch of control.
The idea is enough bodies to chump block early aggression long enough that
Vanquish and
Pristine Light become effective control. Soon after that justice influence should be buffing
Icaria, Valkyrie Captain and
Kira Ascending. Most of your damage is going to be provided mid to late game by them, and early by
Plunk Wumpkin,
Rime Conclave Smuggler, and
Valkyrie Enforcer.
Steyer's Eyes ramps, buffs, or shuts down voids. A 2/2 flyer can't be ignored either.
Lethrai Soothsayer is probably not the best card here. I enjoy it, and the number of games I've won with a flurry of
Premonition Bolts... It is not zero.
I'm still torn between
Hooru Blueprints and
Justice Etchings... YMMV. I've managed to use the heirloom to dupe a soothsayer a couple times to just flood my deck with bolts, but that feels like an edge case scenario. Versus the fairly frequent occurrences of having an Etching on the wrong colored board. For only being 8 cards, Soothsayer and Plunk sure do seem to come up a lot when I use Etching. Because, of course they do. I know, "variance." "Confirmation bias," you're not wrong.
I'm not satisfied with
Levitate. But, it triggers Kira.
Silverblade Intrusion can trigger two Kira at the same time, which is nice. My issue with Levitate is it is more often than not the card I discard with Steyer's Eyes or market fodder. It's usually not even a remotely difficult choice.
Market:
Bring to Justice: Cheap - albeit conditional - removal. Or, just a nice "sit down and shut up" for a problem unit ability.
Vision of Austerity: Relics. I don't know about anyone else, but as I type this (7/21/22), I feel as though I'm seeing more than my fair share of relic heavy control decks. Lethal from
Dichro's Ruin feels bad man.
Poacher's Menagerie is a great target as well. IMHO.
Harsh Rule: Because, sometimes you just have to reset a board.
Korovyat Palace and
Svetya, Merciful Orene are alternate wincons #1 and #2. I want to aggro beat down with all my cheap units, but having a Plan B and Plan C at 6 and 8 power... If I'm honest, it's Palace that's winning most games, as my unit beat down just doesn't come together fast enough. The occasional game that goes long enough to see Svetya and a 10/9 Kira... feels pretty good.
But, Silver 3 to Gold 1 after a very discouraging drop from Silver 1 to Silver 3, felt good enough that I'm satisfied with this deck. For now.
