What made you take out the Paladins and Mantle?

Spirit guides are paladins with lifesteal already that can (if you need/want/can afford) buff another unit with it. Mantle is cool and all, but someone mentioned that the prod can basically win a game if you stun an enemy unit to push the last pieces of damage. Mostly reddit feedback. :)
