Information

This is the strongest Genetor Dovid I deck for gauntlet I was able make, it has been doing very well.

There are 22 cards eligible for Genetor Dovid I to draw so the hypergeometric probability of at least 1 of the 4 being eligible is 77.6%, wich is pretty good since the deck doesn't sacrifice card quality to improve the probability.

The Yisha, the Equalizer package is the strongest option for soldiers in gauntlet, Auric Sentry is the weakest link but the synergy makes him good in this deck.

Only 2 Siraf, Grand Strategist since her ability is expensive and she doesn't do a lot beside that by herself.

Wasteland Broker always gets Clutch of Talons if you have 6 or more power since it's another card for Dovid to get and is something you can happily spend all your power on.

I belive Jennev Merchant to be the best merchant for gauntlet, good stats against early aggresion and the ia somethimes uses 2 spells to kill it since it has Aegis, also it gives access to Lightning Storm (extra good here because of Dovid's Entomb) and Thunderstrike Dragon both are very strong in Gauntlet depending on the current state of the game.

No units below 3 health, this is something that i strive for in most of my gauntlet decks since 2 health or less is not enogh to stop the more agresive decks in the early game and it gives everyone the chance to block and surve against the 1 attack units in the Sudden Death boss fight (you never want to play Maveloft Huntress without Imbue if she isn't going to kill something that turn or you need to plunder).

I've been very impresed with Martial Efficiency.

Aniyah, Arctic Sheriff and Jotun Hurler are just strong cards in Gauntlet, also, the Snowball can enable renown on Aniyah so they work well together.

Just wanted to chime in since I love this concept and built the deck. I made a few changes that I think are excellent changes you might consider. The first is I removed Broker (partly because I think he is terrible just generally speaking, but partly because he isn't a soldier and what is better than a 4/4 for 4 non-soldier in this deck? How about a 9/9 for 4 soldier!) I'm talking of course of Frostclaw Rider who is an absolute monster in this deck and just so happens to make Dovid better.

The other change I made, also to make Dovid better, was to remove Jotun Hurler for Daru Lee. I am less sure this is empirically correct, but it is definitely a change I prefer. The Hurler is pretty meh and Daru is just a house (he has the added benefit of being even better in this more grindy version because you actually get to play his amplify some games!)

I also subbed out the two Sirafs for two Chancellors but that's entirely because I don't own Siraf and don't want to craft him for a gauntlet deck.

Anyway, great great deck! Big thumbs up for me. I HIGHLY recommend the Broker to Frostclaw change and you might try the Daru Lee change but either way I love it!

I like the idea of replacing Broker, i enjoy using him but he doesn't do much for the deck, i don't like Frostclaw Rider though, because when you are in trouble and really in need of a solid unit, he is a 5/5 for 6 he is only extra good when you already have some sort of presence on the board, which makes him unreliable.

I'm going to try Skimmer Wrangler in his place since the deck doesn't have many answers to flyers.

Jotun Hurler is in the deck for the Snowball wich does a lot against many decks, after that he goes to the market, giving you card advantage. Daru Lee is very interesting though maybe better fitted for a deck with smaller soldiers, in this deck there aren't many soldiers that you'll want to exhaust to give him +3/+3, pretty cool card though, the amplify is also better suited for a deck with smaller units. maybe i don't apreciate him enough since i haven't tried yet, ill give it a go in the future.

You are missing out on the Siraffs, but that's very understandable, i would replace the Chancelor with a non-soldier that you like, doesn't seem worth it to have him.

Thanks for the feedback and positivity!

You're missing out. I've been using Frostclaw and he's been fantastic in this shell. As for Daru, I like her a lot and she's done well so for now I'm keeping her in, though I can't say it's 100% right.

Thanks for sharing! I'm finding that I want this list to either lean into Yisha or leave it. I'm just not finding that I'm hitting it, and when I do it's not great. Sharp Tactician seems like it could be good. Man does Auric Sentry having endurance seem to screw me over with Maveloft Huntress more often than it should. also, I subbed in Maveloft Elite and when it hits, it hits. totally agree with you on the Jennev Merchant.
maxgiao Edited Eternal Version: 21.01.13
I haven't found more good options for Yisha or a better set of soldiers without her, Sharp Tactician can be very good but it's too situational silence is great, but this card doesn't really let you choose what to silence since if it doesn't have any battle skills is kinda embarrasing to play a 2/2 for 4, would be nice yo to have a good soldier with silence though, since Dovid is always a good target. The Maveloft Huntress / Auric Sentry interaction shouldn't come up often, sounds like you have been unlucky in that regard. Maveloft Elite has a very high ceeling but in the early game (wich is when you want your cheap units) is too weak and the deck has very few amplify cards, i don't like him in this deck, i did try to make a deck more focused on amplify but i don't think the cards are there for that deck yet.

I will try to insert some more synergistic cards for Yisha, maybe even more Sirafs wich is the strongest synergy, thanks for the feedback.
S1O1 Eternal Version: 21.01.13
If you want to lean harder on Yisha, I'd recommend trying out Bouldergate Guard. In addition to the Yisha synergy, imbuing it will give it +2 attack before its stats are checked, so imbuing it with Maveloft Huntress will make her a 4/4.
metaBrook Eternal Version: 21.01.13
Man how did I miss that? Great suggestion!
maxgiao Eternal Version: 21.01.13
Thanks for the suggestion, i would definitely give Bouldergate Guard a go.
