All hail the king of Jank! The release of Defiance added a couple of new cards for control to play with. They also throw in a Mournful Deathcap to make "pure mill" a little more plausible.

Like most control deck the aim is to lock the opponent as early as possible. Shakedown, Vara, Vengeance-Seeker, and Harsh Rule makes quick work of pesky creatures.

Avigraft is a star in the deck. It reminds me of Dimir Lobotomist from MTG way back in Ravnica. It kills a non flying unit then makes all copies of that unplayable. It can lockdown revenge effects. It can also be used to stop tokens from being generated.

Mournful Deathcap is great blocker early on. The mill effect is a great bonus then Solitude FTW

Really interesting approach here! It's really amazing how much more viable Solitude suddenly is if you can stick an early Deathcap and get a few procs off; opponents don't want to waste hard removal on a 0/4 but if they don't they can quickly find themselves in a world of hurt.
