Here's a work-in-progress snapshot of what started as this list back in November (during the Cultists heyday):
Dragon Armor
PunsForAll was nice enough to check out and improve it on his stream. That ditched the Cozins, updated the weapons, adjusted the removal, and added
Rakano Artisans.
The core of the deck has always been
Ageworn Vestige recursion (with
Voprex's Choice & market
Smuggler's Stash), using
Dragon Forge to fetch it and reduce its cost. A recurring 8-cost
Harsh Rule can grind out many decks, and was how it would beat the popular big Vara plan.
I only got
Trials of Grodov last month. I added Yisha, with Charchain and
Siraf, Grand Strategist to combo with her. Yisha definitely adds another strong angle to the deck, though it can be hard to make her stick. If she does, your Vestiges are a huge threat even without the Spellcraft, Charchain's armor matches its buffed strength (getting bigger as it is recurred), and even Magebreaker can become a huge weapon with some existing armor boosts from
Conspicuous Traveler.
After
Promises by Firelight came out, I make this version to try and work in
Eremot's Designs, removing Siraf and moving Brel in from the Market. I haven't really tested or tuned it after that though.
The deck can be a lot of fun, though I have never done super well with it. Eventually switching to other decks pushed me out of Diamond and into Masters last month.
Like any control deck, you would really have to pay attention to changes in the meta, and adjust your removal package to match.
Also, I've found that the deck stalls into topdeck mode quite often, without any real draw engine. Maybe it needs
Wanted Posters, like old ranked Armory decks. You could also go for more Merchants with Display of Ambition recursion, but that really stretches your deck's slots to the point where regular FJS midrange/control is just better.
Hopefully this is a decent start for anyone interested in Yisha + Relic Weapons though, so enjoy! I'll definitely look back into it after the upcoming 1/6 patch, which updates some Armory cards. Reduced cost Charchain Flail sounds spicy ;)
More than Brel, the weapon recursion from Voprex's Choice (and market Smuggler's Stash) are what draw me to the shadow version.
