This is my armory list i had pretty good results with in masters in the last couple of weeks.
The reason why the deck works is
Stormhalt Knife which is by far the best card in the deck. It allows you to run tempo negative cards like
Reforge and
Rise to the Challenge because once you get down to 10 hp those cards become insanely good.
For pretty much that reason the deck runs the
Ixtun Merchant instead of the normal 8 smuggler combo since we want market-access to both
Reforge and
Rise to the Challenge but need more than one of them in the deck.
Bore is a very obvious choice in a red market since it's a great card especially with all the rat decks going around lately.
Rizahn, Greatbow Master is great to shoot down
Regent's Tomb or any of the time sites and other than that great to close out games against aggro decks. I'm not too sure about
Cauldron Cookbook since the deck already has a pretty good matchup against control and most of the time you prefer a
Rise to the Challenge or
Reforge anyways.
I ran 4
Slayand only 2
Desecrate because i feel like the deck isn't really that tight on power since you aren't really playing a lot of cards early on.
Desecrate also tends to kill your own weapons which definitely is a drawback. There is no other spot removal like
Vanquish or
Annihilate in this deck because i tried to minimize the possible dead cards in most match ups.
The is somewhat special in the regard that you actively should try to get below 10 hp to activate the
Stormhalt Knife and fully enable the deck. Other than that the deck isn't that hard to pilot since you pretty much just try to survive the early game and then get some huge tempo swings with
Stormhalt Knife +
Brel, Solist Apostate/
Throne Warden turns.
The deck has a good match up vs aggro and control but the mid range match up isn't too great. It isn't by any means impossible to win against mid range but definitely harder than the other archetypes. The only almost impossible match up to win is FTP since
Zal Chi, Herald of War is one broken ass card.
