The core of this deck is utilizing Stonescar's excellent discard/sacrifice options in conjunction with strong card selection to cheat big win conditions into play. It's certainly a tier 3 deck, but it's fun to pilot and can execute its gameplan reliably. It has a ~57% winrate at Diamond II, so take from that what you may.
This is all possible thanks to
Feed the Flames which, for the low cost of 1 power, lets you discard any card (and incidentally, makes some tokens). The basic combo is: on turn 6, use
Feed the Flames to discard
First Flame, then
Grasping at Shadows it back. First Flame enters play with tribute active, and you know the rest.
The core combo is relatively resilient, since you can store all three pieces in your market, with
Bandit Queen as a closer.
Manufacture is surprisingly useful here as a form of card advantage. The tokens are like wildcards that you can trade for whatever other card you might need. Want to draw a card off your opponent's deck with
Wyatt, Junk Collector? Trade a Grenadin in. Want to get a combo piece out of your market? Trade a Grenadin in! Need a unit to activate tribute before you Grasp First Flame? You get the idea. It's slow, but you're not going to be doing anything too flashy before turn 5 anyways, so you can generally find the time to cast it.
The sideboard represents other possible targets to cheat out - you were never going to hardcast
First Flame anyways, so why not try
Kenna, Shaman of the Scale instead? If you can find the room, you can discard/Grasp Kenna and get the Grasp back, leaving you with a handy killer in play and only costing you one combo piece.
Optionally, you can take this deck towards the OTK direction by running
Sleeping Draught.
Devour + Draught is about as close to a flicker effect as you can get in Eternal - although that's a 9 power combo at minimum.
Gameplay Tips:
Don't play First Flame against Kennadins without Devour available. You'll regret it.
Unless you're lacking for units to discard, or you need it to be a surprise, don't pick First Flame from
Quarry.
Don't forget that you can Grasp an
Infernus for that last little bit of burn. Although Grasping a First Flame will always give you at least one Infernus, so.
