This is the deck that got me to Master rank this month.
This deck largely plays as if it were mono-Fire, with a splash of Shadow. Here is what Shadow brings us:
1. Cheap, efficient removal in the form of
Suffocate and
Annihilate
2. A solid 2-drop in
Argenport Instigator.
3.
Champion of Chaos
4. And this might be the most important thing,
Silverblade Menace in the market.
Right now, there are a lot of TJS removal piles out there. In the previous version of this deck, I was using
Blazing Salvo and the 2-cost market to try to power through, but TJS would often run me out of threats while they were at under 10 health. So I added
Wasteland Broker (replacing
Impending Doom in my old list) as a decent body which is immune to Annihilate to shuffle in
Silverblade Menace. One or two of those will win the game on its own.
If the opponent isn't playing many spells,
Obliterate is a good card to shuffle in. The others are just there in case the game drags on so long that we're seeing our 3rd or 4th broker.
Power base
I am not entirely sure about the current power base. I would ideally like more
Granite Waystones and/or
Diplomatic Seals, for example. However, basic sigils give us two things:
1. Something to pitch to Jekk for double damage
2. Allowing our Seats to come into play non-depleted.
But I could definitely see an argument for swapping out a fire and shadow sigil for two more seals.
