IF YOU WANNA EAT THOSE NEVER-ENDING FAT TIME DECKS CURRENTLY ON THE LADDER YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE MY FRIEND, GODDAMN AM I SICK OF PRAXIS ALREADY
After opening a Cirso's Cleaver from my event packs, I immediately got hyped and crafted the rest. I regret absolutely nothing: this card is exactly as swingy as it looks, that is to say
downright game winning against any midrange deck that made the mistake of queuing into you. And boy howdy is there a lot of Time midrange out there right now just waiting to be turned into piggies.
The first thing you'll probably notice is the lack of everyone's favorite fashionista sentinel. He sucks, fight me. Actually he's not that bad, please don't fight me. But with Time already flooding the ladder, it will only be a matter of time that people start to run Annihilate to curb the bigboi facepunching (much like we're doing already in this deck); Sandstorm Titan would only be a tempo liability then. That's also the reason why Auralian Merchant is the only mono-faction minion in the deck, as keeping Annihilate blanked as much as possible is pretty gud. The second thing you'll notice is that all these multi-faction units make an influence nightmare, with the full TTPPSS being wanted by *turn 3*. Thankfully Seek, Petition, and a Banner in the Market allows for a lot of fixing.
To go over the not-Darude minion picks: False Prince, Ayan, and Auralian Merchant all provide solid anti-aggro bodies and good opening pressure in the case of the former two. Merchant is used in spite of the goal to blank enemy Annihilates due to just how much she plays into the gameplan; the Market is instant value anyway (and quite invaluable too), and the ramp effect is helpful for dropping your big minions and Cleaver Spellcraft sooner. Rindra is another threat and wall for aggro to deal with, but currently he feels like the weakest link simply due to the Nightfall making the opponent draw cards too (and being even more detrimental if an enemy Teacher of Humility manages to bop your face).
Ancient of the Ice Caves was an attempted replacement that did not last long, so Rindra is here to stay for now. BSH is BSH, and Cirso is a massive roadblock for all of the Time midrange.
The spells being run and what number to have them at is still very much a work in progress: Annihilate at 4 is pretty much the only certainty due to the nauseating amount of Time running around currently (which is also the reason why there's no Rindra's Choice). For the Market, the Banner and Cleaver are must-haves and Passage is very helpful for busting Xenan Obelisks. Cirso's Choice and Hourglass feel like the flex spots, and one will be replaced with a Sandstorm Scarf once I open one to deal with the troublesome flier-heavy decks like TJP (fuq Pacifier btw).
