Do you like using
Grasping at Shadows to play a unit from your void? What if I told you there's a card that's literally twice as good?
Who is the best mandrake? Is it
The Merriest Mandrake with its card draw power? Or is it
Katra, The First Seal with her power ramp? Or is it actually
Vara, Fate-Touched with her powerful void recursion ability?
This deck is essentially a mash up of mandrakes and classic reanimator. Grab
Counterfeiter out of market, make all your units into mandrakes, and silly things can happen. Compared to reanimator, I find this to be a little more consistent. Compared to straight mandrakes, this is less explosive early on, but more resilient in mid to late game.
Some interesting observations from playing this:
Shoal Stirrings for two
Vara, Fate-Touched brought back a total of five units - two Varas, one additional unit from each Vara trigger, and I guess one more Vara trigger from one of those triggers?
A dead
Counterfeiter after becoming a mandrake remains a mandrake, so
Shoal Stirrings can bring him back.
Venomous Nightshade ultimate cannot be triggered when you have a full board.
