ICARIA'S RISEN 2.0
For some reason I always find changes that are needed to my decks. This includes my favorite deck. This deck has undergone some changes which IMO significantly made the deck so much better. Lets me go over the changes.
Deck(General)
First up, I replaced
Execute with
Just Desserts . This was a big improvement. In a close game you both have low health. You spent all your minions attacking. He has one card in hand. So you think E-Z win. But it just so happens that card is a VERY HUNGRY Minion who due to the game mechanics is a very BIG MONSTROSITY who is hungry and wants to chow down on YOU! Well
Just Desserts is there to make sure its hunger is filled!
Next up, I dropped a
Corrupt and added a extra
Eremot, Mindsplinter to bring my deck in par with my minimal 3 minion per set up.
Dropped 1x
Kosul Diplomat to bring up my
Icaria, First Reaper to 4..
That is the general changes to the deck. Now for the really big changes!! My
Market. The most important changes for this entire deck. Before my market consisted of semi-useful cards. Now I have very useful cards. First up is
Burglarize. With all the relics in throne decks these days it is a much needed card. Takes away the card some players really depend on in a matchup. Well at least perhaps a few turns til they replace it!
Next is adding
Vara, Vengeance-Seeker. This card is for those really protective players who like to use Aegis. Vara takes them away and allows me to let my deck run its course with minimal issues.
Azindel's Gift talk about a card that messes a player up. One of the scariest cards to have on you when playing. In some cases it is a game changer. Had to be in the market!
These last two cards are mainly when you exhaust your main hand.
Eremot, Death Incarnate is useful if you have no defenders and the enemy attacks you but you live.
Vara, Fate-Touched My last resort card. When you bring her out it is usally after you have expended most of your return from void cards. IMO Vara is probably the best card in my market to get out. Gives both my Umbrens and Icarias another shot against my opponent.
General notes:
Pristine Light lets me attack with my big minions with little consequence to them. If they die in the process just use Pristine Light to bring them back to your hand. As well as take out your opponents big guns!
Dark Return and
Grasping at Shadows are very good cards. Not just for your big minions. But also can bring back your silence minions to the board.
Recycling Units is a big part of this deck. While it does hold its own without having to bring units from the void to the board. These cards bring a good advantage against most opponent.
Board wiping is not a bad thing. This deck for the most can play
Harsh Rule with minimal consequence. In fact this deck is partially designed to take into account board wipes.
My last few games with this deck. The red loss is a different deck I am working on.
