This is an adaptation of Rainhall's deck from last month: https://eternalwarcry.com/decks/d/29lh5iuC67c/masters-turtle-time. The main difference is the addition of
Veena's Masterpiece and
Druid of the Sands, which are both extremely strong cards in giving you card advantage and allowing you to get your units out of kill range, and giving you more chances to find the unit that you really need, respectively.
Mulligan for a hand with 3 or more power, but 2 is an acceptable risk when going second. Flood is much better than screw. An
Apprentice Mage in the opening hand is ideal.
This list can do some really silly things starting with turn 2 apprentice mage. My favourite is t3
Skysplitter giving you +2 power
Advantage into t4
Boar Riders giving you
Predatory Carnosaur.
As for the market, I did not find any improvements over the original list, but it feels like one of the weak points of the list. Often my
Hive Deliverys have just been flexing between being a sigil and being a unit that doesn't do much. Maybe now when
Ancient Stoneshell is no longer in the main deck it should be in the market instead (replacing
Trail Scourge).
This deck sits extremely well in the current meta. It quickly overpowers the removal from prismatic map decks, and our units are too big for FTJ to handle. We can outgrind FPS and stabilize against F/FT aggro. Being mono colour we never die to color screw, even though power screw does happen from time to time (albeit rarely given correct mulligan).
went 13-0, but then had a bad run of 0-4
