Hi, everyone. For anyone looking for something fun to play, here is the list that I started in Diamond with and am currently using to float around in high 200s Master. I suspect I'd be a little higher, but I keep switching to a Praxis Flamestoker deck too, so that's holding me down some. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ This deck is almost exactly 60% over my last 100 games though, so it's decent.

In Magic, my favorite deck ever was RUG Titans (Jace+Explore+Frost and Inferno Titans). I love slamming huge 6-7 cost dudes with "on play" effects and crushing with them. Sadly, that's almost always bad in CCGs. In that vein, I've been trying to play Hooru midrange forever, and RNGEternal was even kind enough to publish an article on a really bad version of it I wrote last summer. BUT, right now big, chunky, midrange Hooru is actually respectable!

The list is mostly self-explanatory, but here are a few notes.

-We're not a ramp deck, but we kind of play like one, so we can't ever miss a power drop. As such, I wouldn't recommend cutting any of the power generating cards. If our plan is to win with 6 and 7 drop creatures, we really, really need to play them on curve. Flooding is a danger, but we can filter out extra power with Strategize and sometimes Torvod (although he usually just eats removal to clear the path for bigger threats).

-If you play the deck, don't fall in love with Daraka into Eilyn. It's cool if it happens, but generally its bad to hold off any plays to get the Aegis.

-The deck is fun to play in that it doesn't have any really great match-ups but can pull out wins against anything.
-Versus other midrange, we can often go over the top of what others are doing with Nostrix and Eilyn. Streamlined Elysian decks are the worst to face because they are fast enough to run us over before we can get going.
-Aggro decks are kind of slowing down right now, so stalling and going over them is pretty valid.
-Really slow control decks are the worst thing to run into because they go over our head and draw more cards than we do. Our threats are all pretty hardcore though, so occasionally we can win before they out-draw us and remove them all.

-I'm kind of embarrassed about the 3 Rain of Frogs. They used to be Hailstorms, which is more logical, but at least for right now, Hailstorm seems so good that people stopped playing the decks you need it against. So, I basically pre-sideboarded in Rain as an anti-big control card. It's inelegant and doesn't really work that well, but occasionally hitting their Channels on turn 4 is enough to swing the matchup. I dunno.

-Not Running wisdom might seem weird, but I have Privilege in that slot, because while we do want to draw to cards, we want them to be power most of the time, and Privilege guarantees us that.

Anyway, if the idea of slamming an 11/12 Eilyn, pumping her to 13/14, and blowing up the opponent's board seems fun to you, give the deck a try. At least right now, you can try to live that dream without embarrassing yourself.

Thanks!

I'm not entirely sure, I've tried it many ways now I've got more Legendaries for it (4x Jotun, Nostrix, but still 2 Eilyn), but this one seemed like the best version without just caving in and going more aggro, which believe me just wasn't fun anymore. It seems suboptimal in that Nostrix ought to have as many x4 targets as possible, and Torgov should be better than Jotun in any removal light meta, but it seems to work ok right now as Jotun just eats removal for you and if he gets to attack it's great. If he gets to attack TWICE, wow you're well on the way to winning. #BestNostrixTargetBesidesShelterwing
