I have not been playing Eternal for very long, but this is a deck that I built recently that I've been fairly proud of. I don't think it could hold up to the meta in any way, but I hope I can get some tips for deck building and ideas or links for budget decks from this. With a background in MTG and Hearthstone, I think this game is a fun mix of the two (though it's hard to determine which colors are best for a control deck lol).
My reasoning for building a fliers deck was based just on my experiences in the first campaign and a short spin through casual games. Fliers, from my observation and experience, are hard to deal with, and it turns out there's a load of synergy with themselves. Put 2 and 2 together, and it just made sense to stuff Primal and Justice together.
Card Choices:
I feel like Seek Power and the six Favors are a given, just to make sure we hit the power we need to cast our things.
Vanquish +
Lightning Strike +
Rebuke +
Crystallize and
Ice Sprite make up our removal package. Ice Sprite is much better than the other mentioned ones because it doesn't activate revenge, doesn't return the creature to hand, no. It's basically in exile until Ice Sprite is removed, and it's hard to deal with without direct damage or an opposing flier.
Windshaper is our lord and it works well with
Cobalt Acolyte, since it then gives itself the +1/+1 buff too.
Primal Incarnation and
Mantle of Justice help push through damage and protect our smaller creatures from damage based removal.
Wisdom of the Elders is card draw and helps refill our hand in the late game.
I think the remaining cards can be summed up fairly easily. They fly and the goal is to clog up the board to beat the opponent to 0 as soon as possible with as little resistance as possible. The fastest win I've gotten was turn 7 and it can win even in the late game as long as the lord gets dropped after one or two bigger creatures.
This is not the greatest deck in the world, but I think I am definitely going to be swapping some removal for more Ice Sprite and maybe another Crystallize if I can get the stone for it, because it's such a good hose against grounded aggro decks and the potential mirror.
Update 1.1:
Changed Eilyn out for Amilli. Amilli lowers the curve and is a lot stronger than Eilyn in this deck.
More Ice Sprite, up to a playset now.
One more Rolant's Honor Guard, because that lifesteal is important in the late game in order for us to outlast the opposing deck.
Bring Down in place of a Rebuke, because stun doesn't last as long as killing an opposing flier does.
