Believe it or not, another Praxis deck has come to Masters rank... Proof:
Most of the cards like
Teacher of Humility,
Sandstorm Titan or
Heart of the Vault are staples to Praxis decks and don't need detailed introduction, so I'll explain my tech choices and the Market. The general idea of the deck is to establish a strong board presence with the help of power boosting units and either grind out the opponent with Dawnwalker recursion (ideally with killer) or with charging units thanks to
Magus of Celerity and
Diogo Málaga.
Maindeck choices:
Trail Maker - the bread and butter of the deck. I'd take out Teacher before this little guy
Magus of Celerity - Epic Beard Man, the X factor of the deck, his biggest value is the Scout trigger and that he has a big target on his forehead, most opponents are so afraid of a charging Teacher or Behemoth high roll (which happen and are awesome) that they "waste" their removal on him and get beaten by Hearts and Titans afterwards.
Diogo Málaga - the win-more card and a good finisher against control. I'm not impressed or disappointed with him, but when my shiftstone reserves build up I'll try
Zuberi, Outlands Warlord in this slot and move one to the Market
Market choices:
Snapping Brushstalker - May seem like total crap, but this guy wins you the control matchup. He gets bounced back on every
Harsh Rule to bring back
Dawnwalkers the next turn, and so over and over. Bonus points if you fetch him with a Magus on the field, so he charges in addition to Walker recursion.
Striking Snake Formation - I like having all 4 Initiations in the mainboard, and this card is used to break board stalemates against other decks that run big dudes or just break through tokens.
Shatterglass Mage - destroys the relic that pesters you and brings back Walkers. Great card
Thundering Kerasaur - another control tech card, but honestly it never made the difference. Probably will get swapped for Diogo in the future
Predatory Carnosaur - One of the best cards in the deck and in 8/10 cases the first card I take out of my Market.
If you have any questions about the deck or just want to curse me for playing Praxis, feel free to comment.
