Posting the final iteration of the deck that I played this season from G1 to M. The main strong point of the deck is the combination of Waystone Titan and Aspect of destruction. It allows you to string together multiple attacks and can win out of nowhere with an empty board. The combination is Rod/Demand Death/Hardcast Waystone Titan hits opponent for 5, you gain 6 power, you play Rod/Demand Death/harcast Aspect for 11 damage + 6 power, and you can continue. Although unlikely, you can win as early as turn 4, which gives you a way to win against aggro, even when they have a very fast start. Either via Demand death into Waystone, or via Reactor -> Charge unit -> Rod into a full charging board. Even though luck plays a big part, so do your decisions. Sometimes, it's better to play Rod or Demand Death after attacking, to try and hit Aspect of Destruction. The deck wins often enough that I was able to climb the ladder. One of my favorite things about it is that by turn 7 you either win or lose, and move on with your life.
Mask in the market is especially good in this deck, but because it allows for Waystone to trigger most of the time, but also because this deck puts a lot of power on the board, so overwhelm really helps you win the game.
Edit: made some updates to the market removing the two cards I never seemed to get. Power is by far the most common card from the market, followed by mask and bladecrafter. Experimenting with the last two slots.
Also Shifted power around a bit.
Today, due to some bad decisions, I had two reactor forges in play and an Aspect of Destruction in my hand but nothing else on board. I top decked Kaleb and hard cast him. He played Rod onto himself and blew in 3 other chargers from the deck, including Waystone Titan. We hit. With Titan's power I played the Aspect. We hit again. 40 damage out of nothing and completely undeserved victory.
Thanks for this fun!
I generated 10 starting hands and broke them down into Good (4), Average (3) and Bad (3). Hope that helps.
Let me know if you'd like more details on why any of these hands are good or bad imo.
