This is my first take on Xenan Lifeforce with the new Xenan Lifespeaker buff. Honestly, I think this deck probably existed before the Lifespeaker buff given that it was pretty minor, but the buff was certainly welcome nonetheless.
This is an aggro-midrange deck. You don't need Katra to win, but she sure does speed up the process and win you a lot of games just by resolving. Market + Katra is the really big deal here, making it much more consistent then lifeforce decks of the past. We also get to make great use of Shadowlands Guide, bringing back several key cards: Cult Aspirant, Sanctuary Priest, and Xenan Lifespeaker.
In general, you're just going to be the beatdown and try to kill them, but there will be times where you need to holdback and build up a bigger board. With Katra, you have incredible power to break board stalls. If you can't win a race, sit back and play defensive until you can get a Katra and build. You can even just win a defensive race with lots of powerful lifesteal units, like Shadowlands Tyrant and big Ayans.
Redraws: Look for your 1-drops, Oasis Seeker, Merchants, Katra's, and good power. This deck is somewhat power hungry, as Katra is really more like a 5 or 6 drop a lot of times, requiring you to play her and some lifesteal to really get value out of her.
Other tips: your removal is precious. Use it carefully. With lifesteal, you can outrace a lot of threats and don't need to kill them. Kill the stuff that really ruins you, like units with tons of health: Amilli will really rustle your jimmies if you don't have a way to remove it.
That's all. I think this deck is really strong. If I weren't busy for the Invitational this weekend, I probably would have put it in my lineup.
