Introduction
I am always and forever a lover of birds. So when Eternal became my CCG of choice, I had my sights on its cast of birds. My first love when it comes to Eternal birds was
Acquisitive Crow, a helpful friend who brings you often what you didn't even know you needed. Crow has the problem however of being a 3 mana 2/2 without a way to protect itself, so its fate usually just goes the way of the
Torch. Birds have been pretty low impact overall across Eternal's history. You've probably lost plenty of games to them and they always seem to be lurking just on the edge of playability, but if you want to take full advantage of Eternal's fliers you have to expand into more types than just the explicitly avian.
This Deck
My initial name for this deck was just "Take Flight", it's a low cost 3 color list full of utility fliers and anthems. The point of the deck is to go incredibly wide and have total domination over the skies. To achieve this it utilizes
Mother of Skies and a wide array of multicolor fliers with summon effects that help maintain control of units that might be difficult to deal with using the means of entering direct combat.
I swapped out 2 copies of
Skyrider Vanguard for Altin, Bird Whisperer, we'll see if this is the right deck for him.
Looks like a fun list, hopefully with more flying synergy tools to come in this month's promos
