Information

This is the current best (as far as I know) mill deck. I've been wanting to make mill a thing since I got an interest in this game and here it is.

The core of this deck is built around my Millhouse deck that I have also posted here. It was a version of another deck made by another user that I altered to fit my playstyle. I've given that original poster credits in my original Millhouse decklist.

This deck is a doozie. There are a few wincons, but most often you will end up doing lethal damage with Black Iron Manacles. With the addition of Spitefeeder from the new set you will win by milling much more often, but it's still not the go-to wincon. Holding on to Fallen Oni and Spitefeeder when you have a Dreamsnatcher in hand is usually the way to go. He can stall out the game by gaining life if your opponent doesn't have removal. All it takes is one big swing with him and you're good for another couple turns.

Combos:

Dreamsnatcher is your man for this deck. He combos with all of your one drops as well as solitude. And if you ever make it to ten Mana (usually not a good game) you can activate his ability to gain a lot of power/lifegain as well as do damage if you have black iron manacles in play.

Shadowlands Guide will fetch back all of your one drops to mill some extra cards. Above all else keep this in mind: your Fallen Oni and Spitefeeder cards almost only exist to mill cards. They are chump blockers primarily because you can bring them back with shadowlands guide or when you're in a tough spot, Dark Return. Bringing Dreamsnatcher back with dark return is better than you think, don't he afraid to do it many times to make them waste all of their removal.

Crownwatch Press-Gang will give you the reliable one drops you need as well as card draw. If you're against a lot of flyers, obviously grab your Spitefeeders to block. If you're against warcry, grab your fallen Oni to mill away the unit they have buffed up. Don't be afraid to Devour your crownwatch press gang to get a few cards. You will most likely see it again and get even more card draw from it. If you have a few solitudes in hand, always grab the Spitefeeders as they have amazing returns for solitude.

Solitude will obviously mill them to death but usually shine with Black Iron Manacles. It can also make your Dreamsnatcher (s) HUGE. Learn when you need to use this as a damage card or as a mill card, sometimes it a big gamble.

Important notes:

If you ahve both a Spitefeeder and a fallen Oni in hand , 99% of the time you want to play the Spitefeeder first. When Spitefeeder Mills cards it doesn't care what the cards are. This means you might mill 1) no units 2) one unit and a non-unit, or 3) two units. Since fallen Oni always mills a unit and most times you want to burn away their units, it's always worth it to play the Spitefeeder first. Also if you have Dreamsnatcher out, sometimes you can mill a unit with Spitefeeder and then have a guaranteed unit with the Oni. That means more power, more lifegain, etc.

This deck takes a while to ge used to. It's not easy (or incredibly good >.<) by any means. It's my baby, and I think it's probably the best mill deck you can play currently.

What about Azindel's Gift?
Wispr Eternal Version: 1.37
I thought about it. Maybe in competition you could use it against certain decks, but usually the returns just aren't as good as other options.

To answer your other question, I have recently put crests in this deck as well as a market and I've re-uploaded it as Millhouse Merchant. Ifyou want to run this without merchants as Millhouse 2.0 I would sub in one of each crest to replace one of each seat
zenben1126 Eternal Version: 1.37
Why don't you use crests?

This is by far my new favorite deck to play for fun! Nice job!

I like Abduct a lot, if you go the market route with abduct I would try a grasping at shadows and a banner of some nature and in cold blood, it's nice to have access to just have removal

I suppose it's a bridge too far to try to work in Ancient of the Ice Caves?

It's a little too expensive for me. Also it's not a combo card unless you pay for it twice, and I have to replace another combo card with this one. Not enough reliability for me.

The original deck that I modified uses a Vara, but I found 8 is just too much Mana to pay for one spell usually.

Can you comment on the absence of a market?

We've all been telling him to run the shadow merchant but he won't listen...

IMO:
-1 solitude
-1 manacles
-1 slay
-1 dreamsnatcher

+4 Kerendon Merchant

Market:
Slay
Manacles
Dreamsnatcher
Solitude
Umbren Occluder? Seems like it would set up Solitude and/or Manacles finishers nicely, and is decent late when you topdeck or have been gripping a merchant with no need to market just yet.

I don't spectate a lot of his games but I know from the grind that Kerendon Merchant is a phenomenal body to have in the ranked meta; you either force the answer or guarantee a good trade, and the dirty work is already done.

Playing this with your recommended market. Awesome fun. Umbren Occluder kicks arse. I also tinkered with the power base (i.e. crests). Removed Seek Power and a Solitude. Mill 2.1.
Wispr Eternal Version: 1.37
I haven't found the market card(s) to be any better than this list yet. I'm messing aorund with it still

love the deck btw

no need to find em, people already told you which ones to try. comments are on point.
