Simple tribal aggro. Folds for hard control (no Aegis) and it's not very consistent but it's quite fun. Once it gets going, it's a sight to behold, but that's not guaranteed. Don't use it to climb hit Masters, but it's perfect for some Casual fun or in Gold and lower brackets. It also has surprising amount of cute girls on the art. There should be probably some cards from Argent Depths, but I don't have many cards from this new set.
Non-Power
Auralian Cargo and
Seek Power for hitting those double pips for
Lethrai Target Caller,
Rhysta, Acantha's Herald,
Vishni, Lethrai Highblood and
Shadowlands Borderscout.
Bloodseeker is not amazing, but it's a solid one drop and it has little synergy with discard in the deck.
Maveloft Huntress is mostly here for her Plunder ability, she has anti-synergy with
Sunset Stone unfortunately, but as a one-of I haven't encountered this problem yet.
Annihilate and
Rindra's Choice are just efficient removal.
Tavia, Lethrai Raidleader synergises with cards that draw you power and the
Lethrai Target Caller
Lethrai Darkstalker is mostly for the card draw but it's also useful for stalling opponent's turn 3 play. The deck doesn't have that much Night synergies, so maybe it should be cut.
Rhysta, Acantha's Herald is just good synergistic card, not wow on her own, but shines with other elves.
Sunset Stone The only reason to not be two-coloured Feln deck.
Borderlands Lookout and Cargo aren't that good, but they're here since we already put some Time influence here.
Vishni, Lethrai Highblood can sometimes act as a trap. Remember that a 3/3 flyer played on turn 3 is often much better than three 2/1s THREE turns later. It's an aggro deck, you want these elves to hit face.
Lethrai Skystrider is grateful for finally having some shell. Her best ability is granting all your elves flying when you attack. It allows you to sneak in considerable damage and sometimes just win the games when their board is just littered with big fat units. Her Ally ability is basically Summon is kinda disappointing since it whiffs half the time, there's not that many spells in the deck. Good thing is that, apart from milling the relics or a unit buffed by
Rhysta, Acantha's Herald's Warcry we don't really mind discarding our library to the void.
Shadowlands Borderscout is fragile and a removal magnet, but if you manage to attack with it you're probably going to win. Especially with
Lethrai Hideaway permanent Strength buff. Good thing
Entrancer was nerfed back so it can no longer hit our Elf! It's true that this card sucks when it's alone and without your relics buffing your Elves, without
Tavia, Lethrai Raidleader granting it +Strength and without other units to take advantage of its removal baiting, but if you don't have any of those things you were probably going to lose anyway.
Acantha's Outrider is here because you play it as 3/3 flyer for 3 that doesn't require double influence like
Vishni, Lethrai Highblood does.
Zende, the Heart-Binder is our top-end. It draws you one Elf on average and when the stars align, she's extremely good. It's also one of the reason why
Lethrai Skystrider discarding top four cards of our library is not a bad thing.
POWER
I'm not really good at it. You don't want many Depleted Power since you do want to curve out easily. All your Elves can't synergise with each other if half of them rot in your hand.
Argent Depths introduced
Elysian Cylix and
Xenan Cylix. They're so busted that you should craft them with Shifstone the second they became available anyway, but if you can't afford it, don't bother. To really shine they need you to have double Time influence already and the deck doesn't really want it, it wants to hit two Primal and two Shadow pips ASAP.
Feln Vow should fit right in though, but maybe not as a playset? I'd have to test it out more once I get these cards.
Token of Knowledge is not really worth it. Too slow.
Elysian Banner,
Xenan Banner and
Feln Banner are nice budget option. You should have units in play most of the time.
MARKET
You're not going to both have hit with two+ Elves and have 3 power left for
Lethrai Dead Drop often, but it's good enough to take a slot in the Market. Vishni's
Dark Elf fodder likes it a lot since if you throw three of them onto the opponent, chances are that two of them connect.
Edict of Grodov,
In Cold Blood and
Nullblade are your typical silver bullets against, respectively, Feln decks, Justice decks that rely on specific unit and reanimator decks. ICB can be used as normal removal too.
The Praxis Arcanum is a dud, honestly. I put it there because the cost fits... but it's never really drawn from the market. Sure, all its modes are useful, but to play it you have to:
— have double Time influence
— have time (heh) to play it instead of a unit
— have a board state when it's better than removal provided by the other three cards.
So yeah, it's going to be swapped for something else.
