Introduction
This has been one of my favorite consistent Gauntlet beaters for a while, but with the addition of
Aeda, Heretical Forgemaster recently, I finally have the relevant angle to use when posting it now.
The core of the deck has always been
Battlemaster Kitaxius. A card which always seemed like a cute build around waiting for a home. And since they incidentally have Valkyrie-Warp
and Valkyries happens to be consistently one of the strongest archetypes in Eternal it seemed only logical to use them as the foundation.
The Deck
The deck can be a little slow getting started, although
Battlemaster Kitaxius's 3 points of toughness and
Rust Grafter's decay help make the first few turns more palatable. The deck really makes up for it however in the sheer power and volume of Jund Valkyrie's that Silence, steal, profitably block, and otherwise maim the opposing threats.
Raniya, Wings of the Cabal,
Deathwing,
Valkyrie Enforcer, and
Dichro, Conqueror being the forever MVPs.
There isn't really a trick to playing the deck. Just get Kitaxius on the field if you have 'em before you play your relic weapons and feel energized by the value.
The Market
Pristine Light is amazing at sweeping away threats while letting you keep your own notable ones. (Pro Tip: attack with merchants you wanna replay to inevitably die and trigger the onslaught)
Foxfang Katars can be used to either trip Kitaxius or to remove permafrosts from a unit for a surprise lethal swing.
Gift of the Daimyo: This is probably the most justified I have ever been in putting my favorite pet card in a market.
Brel, Solist Apostate Give all the relic weapons in your deck warcry 2 (every instance of warcry given by Kitaxius stacks, so if you somehow need to take long enough to see them, you will draw some stupid weapons.)
