There is nothing remotely close to as good for this deck. The best alternative is maybe a mix of Rizahn and Sword of the Sky King.

I wonder if Darya, Warrior Poet would be a more interesting use of the spot. Deadly on Xo with the ultimate could be useful, and berserk on Alessi or a Smuggler could push lethal. Plus both merchants could grab her.

I can hardly imagine losing from the positions where Darya would be good. It's more important to have a reliable blocker on turn 4 against aggro, and an aegis threat against control. I could be convinced to play Reality Warden or Shatterglass Mage depending on the meta.

I guess I've been top-decked too many times to ever feel comfortable from a winning position lol. I could see Copperhall Elite being better in both of those situations. I guess I'm just guilty of trying to find a deck to stick Darya in - I really like the card, but a deck has been elusive so far. Amplify as a mechanic has felt a little out of place - either the meta is aggro and amplify is too slow, or the meta slows down and control salivates at the value bullseye that amplify represents. It's too bad - it seemed like a fun mechanic when Set 5 launched.

I think Darya is ok in a Praxis overwhelm deck. Dawnwalker, Cykalis, Behemoth, etc.

Bore is an exception because its broken. Everything else can be grabbed by both merchants.

I think the merchant/smuggler - bore interaction is what is broken. I don't remember the card being super OP before Set 4 launched (or, rather, it was still really, really good, but you had to think about whether using the deck slots for it was worth it).
