A more aggressive build on the
Kira Ascending shell but instead focuses on
Kira, the Prodigy and unit interaction. More combat math, potent units, and occassionally a big turn 3 or 4
Kira, the Prodigy can feel like a free win.
Bubble Shield,
Finest Hour, and
Levitate were my choices for 1 cost value spells. The Ascending build usually runs
Silverblade Intrusion and
Urge to Feed. In the traditional build they are great card draw and interaction especially if you run
Hooru Envoy. Those spells don't stick on to
Kira, the Prodigy so I trimmed down to what I considered to have the most upside.
Hojan, Crownbreaker
feels like an auto include in these decks. Usually in these decks you choose between running
Icaria, Valkyrie Captain or
Steyer's Eyes but I decided on both.
Icaria, Valkyrie Captain is great for ramp and naturally becomes a bigger body later,
Steyer's Eyes is insanely flexible. Fixes your hand and look at the top of your deck, hate on void decks, or pump of one of your guys. Targeting
Kira, the Prodigy with crownwatch tactics just feels nasty.
Helena, Skyguide is a great unit on its own that can catch opponents off guard giving a unit reach they they didn't plan for and putting that on
Kira, the Prodigy is even better.
Justice Etchings and
Rime Conclave Smuggler are probably just the best ways to reach in to your market.
Rime Conclave Smuggler is excellent for deterring any of the
Rift Siphon or
Exploit decks.
Valkyrie Enforcer has always been an A+, but I also added
Monarch Cloak. I think this is really well placed in the meta right now. You can 2 for 1 Praxis ramp decks and it's safe to maindeck as relic hate, just make sure for
Deans' Chamber you don't attach it to unit cus it applies the summoning effect as if it was from the unit and not the weapon. I've been loving
Velise, Bear Rider in this deck. She filters your hand and getting overwhelm means your opponent can't just chump block. Yes,
Kira, the Prodigy
The market is value based and not focused on any specific hate on an archetype.
Bring to Justice
is arguably the best 1 cost removal spell in the game as long as you have an Aegis on you but it's not always absolutely necessary.
Trickshot Ruffian is a staple in the traditional build but it's usually on use as a finisher for pumping up
Kira Ascending to make another unit massive. You can punish opponents for not holding back removal or a blocker for one of your flyers but it is even effective early game since the stats stick to your
Kira, the Prodigy.
Vision of Austerity is so good that some decks even splash the necessary colors just to have it playable from the market.
The last spots are for your heavy hitters,
General Fiera and
Svetya, Lightbringer. Fiera is amazing in combat match ups and only makes
Bubble Shield and
Rime Conclave Smuggler even better.
Svetya, Lightbringer shuts down fair unit decks for a turn and if she goes unchecked, as long as your drawing into power, makes the units you draw into even more difficult to handle.
The traditional build usually runs
Korovyat Palace as it's late game bomb but most of your early units won't gain the Aegis when summoned and you mostly want to be aggressive enough that you won't have units held back to protect it.
Pristine Light is usually a solid inclusion but it hits too much of your own bored to make it worth it.
Hooru Kira decks are my favorite archetype.
Kira Ascending is a power house but don't sleep on
Kira, the Prodigy. Keeps the stat boost and overwhelm :). The only downside is she's the only unit that can't activate
Justice Etchings. For some of you that will be a big enough of a downside to cut her from the list but for me the card filtering and overwhelm is well worth it.
I hope you all enjoy.
