*UPDATE 2*
Took out a bunch of cards. Added 4 Wisdom of the Elders 1 Stonesmelt Dragon 4 Cozin DarkHeart and 2 Defle

With Fliers winning the Spring QCP I expect to see a lot of it on ladder, so we added 2 more low cost fast removal spells to take care of them. Cozin also helps as it can get a 4/4 down to block and draw you extra cards. Stonesmelt is mainly for FTJ Armory decks, but can help beat Fliers by taking away the main way they win.

*UPDATE*
+3 Display of Menace -1 Blazing Salvo -1 Midias -1 Skylord Tolek

The FTJ Matchup is so brutal and I forgot about Display! Card is great and versatile. To make room I cut some clunky cards and 1 Salvo as our market is not needed all the time. Enjoy the rest of the write-up!

This list, as the title says, brought me from 0 points in Expedition to Masters over the course of 2 days. I feel like the deck is one of the big 3 to beat (FTJ Armory, FTS Sacrifice, and this). So let's get started with the write up!

At its core, this deck is a control deck. You kill there stuff, get to the late game, slam finisher after finisher, and win through outvaluing what your opponent is trying to do. We have, technically, 20 removal cards in the deck, so let's go over each of them.

Blazing Salvo - A necessary evil imo. The card is great early, but becomes lackluster after turn 3. Used to get our market cards most of the time. I could see us going down to 3 because the card doesn't always perform well.

Permafrost - Best removal by far. Can hit the early stuff to keep us alive or remove the big bois of the format. Auto 4-of every time.

Sear - Hits Nexus and that is huge. Kills most relevant things in the format at low cost. Auto 4-of.

Voprex's Choice - I rarely use this as removal, but it has its advantages. Good in the Unseen matchup as it gets around aegis. Can be a nonbo with Permafrost on the field so watch out for that. Because of its flexibility, you need to have 4-of

Cremate - Amazing removal. Useful against sites, Ephemeral Wisp, the mirror, all around solid card, but cost is sort of clunky. I like 4 of it, but can see it going down to 2-3 of.

Using the right removal in the right situation is vital, moreso here than most decks because each has a purpose. Learn how each piece functions and you will be on your way to being a dragon master! Now, I want to go over the dragons I am using.

Teething Whelp - I originally wasn't using this card (had WOTE in it's place) but after using it my last couple of games I can see how important this card is. It comes down early, pulling removal from the opponent that could otherwise be used to remove your better threats. If left unchecked, it runs away with the game. Auto 4-of

Eclipse Dragon - The absolute best creature you have. Charge is so vital as it can take down relic weapons, site, can sit back and be a great blocker, it does everything. The two hit combo of E. Dragon into Dragon Forge into another E. Dragon is usually game over. Auto 4-of.

Skylord Tolek - This guy has overperformed for me. Allows you to close games out of nowhere, while also being amazing at refilling your hand with amazing threats is so good. He can be a little clunky, so I could see shaving 1-2 of him, depending on what your playing against.

Karvet, Solar Dragon - Your second best dragon. Lifesteal, extra bodies, great stats, this thing is a monster. Auto 4-of

Spitflame Draconus - I started with 4, now I am down to 2. The card is great, in small doses. Extra removal, great stats, great abilities. 2-of is a good spot but you can add/remove as necessary.

Midias, Leyline Dragon - My Fun-of card. Good when you start flooding, can close out games, decent stats, though he rarely gets to stick around. You can cut this for another Den of Ordeals.

Den of Ordeals - It's a dragon deck. 3-4 of always.

Market is self explanatory. Now, let's get into match ups.

FTJ Armory - Your worst match up by far. You're looking to be the aggressor here so slamming dudes is the game plan. Eclipse Dragon into Salvo into Backlash is gonna be your saving grace 9/10 times. Tome of Horrors plays a good role in this match up as well as you can hit them on two fronts while drawing their cards.

FTS Sacrifice - Feels even most of the time. Cremate their ephemeral wisp ASAP. Draconic Ire the relic that makes you sacrifice when they do, otherwise you cannot win. Eremot's Design is key as well.

Argenport Unseen - Easy win. Kill their stuff, play your dudes, win the game.

Elysian Fliers - Winning, but can be hard. You very rarely want to tap out, as they can pivot very easily with Spellshaper. Sear, Salvo, Cremate all shine here.

Well, that's it. Hopefully this is helpful! Leave me a comment with your ideas or if this helped you in anyway!

Hi, I'm here now. :P

What are your thoughts on the Tattoo Dragon/Cozin Darkheart Package? Tattoo Dragon is quite liable to just get Seared or Displayed before doing much, but the value that the two provide in tandem I've found really help to even up the Armory matchup.

Also, thoughts on a possible 2/2 Defile/Cremate split? I haven't messed around with Defile yet given the plentiful options for removal, but that seems it'll shore up some of the issues against the 'cheap-stuff' decks.

Finally, how have you found Seek Power? I've tried it previously but found that I often hit very poorly.

I hadn't thought of Spitflame Draconus or Backlash as a counter to Armory, but that seems really interesting, and I'll go give it a whirl. Thank you very much for the suggestions!

I tried Defile and it ended up being average. I would rather have the versatility of Cremate over it, as we have so many other good cards against cheap stuff. I really wish Black-Sky Harbinger was legal as that would make a world of difference, but Spitflame does a decent impersonation.

Seek power was underwhelming. You only need 6-7 power to function so Chant by itself is enough usually. Seek Answers also does great in the board, though you could trade it for Vara's Favor and the like.

Let me know what you think after trying it! I will try your list as well.
